Lionel Tate

Fourteen year old Lionel Tate was at home one night when his mother decided to babysit 6 year old Tiffany Eunick. The mother left the two kids alone to watch tv as she went upstairs, around 10 she told them to be quiet since they were loud. Ms. Tate never went to check to see what the noise was about, 45 minutes later Lionel yells to his mother stating that Tiffany wasn’t breathing. Lionel says that they were wrestling and he had her in a headlock and slammed her on the table. Tiffany suffered from a fractured skull and rib, swelling in the brain that had to occur within one to a five minute beating. Lionel later stated that he jumped on her from the staircase. Lionel was sentenced to a lifetime in prison without parole but it was overturned because he was not given a mental compentacy hearing before or during the trial. He was released in 2004 and given 10 years probation.

Alex and Derek King

On November 26, 2001 firefighters raced to a home in Florida it was a housefire and they knew that the homes in that neighborhood were old and made from wood. The firefighters went through the motions putting the fire out and looking for survivors. They found Terry King on the couch they initially assumed that he was a victim of the fire but it was later discovered that infact he died from head injuries. Terry had his skull cracked open, and most of his face had been smashed in. The next morning it was found out through an investigathion that Terry had two sons Alex 12 and Derek 13. Both boys were no where to be found. Growing up the boys were separated their mother left them and their other brothers in the care of Terry since motherhood was to much for her. Terry could not financially take care of all of them so he sent them to Heritage Christian Academy. The twin boys from a different relationship were adopted, Derek moved in with the principal and Alex was placed in foster care but later moved back in with his father. Derek became involved with drugs and had a fascination with fire. 10 days before the fire on Novemeber 16th both boys ran away from home, one being Derek did not like his fathers rules etc. On November 27th a friend of Terry’s Rick Chavis brought the boys to the police station, the boys were interviewed separately but had the same story. It was Alex’s idea to kill their father but Derek is the one who acted on it. Derek waited until his father was asleep and took an aluminum baseball bat and bashed his father’s head in ten times, and they then started the fire to conceal the crime.

Sarah Johnson

Sarah Johnson was a 16 year old from a small town in Idaho, she had a nice family and the one thing that her parents said no to was the reason why she murdered them, of course it was over her 19 year old boyfriend. Her father Alan 46, and mother Diane 52 they had a beautiful home and the family was well liked in the community. On September 2, 2003 Sarah ran from the home screaming that her parents had been murdered, her mother Diane, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the face her head was pretty much blown away literally, her father Alan had died from a gunshot wound to his chest. It appeared that Alan had just gotten out of the shower and was walking towards his wife before he was shot. During the trial Sarah showed no emotion, the day her parents were killed she cared more about seeing her boyfriend Bruno. She changed up her stories when the police were questioning her and things just weren’t adding up. After 11 hours of the jury deliberating they found Sarah guilty on two counts of murder in the first degree. Sarah was sentenced with two fixed life terms as well as 15 years without getting parole. Sarah also had to pay $10,000 in fines and $5,000 went to her brother Matt.

Teenage boy kills adopted siblings

This 15 year old boy was the oldest of 6, he was an honor student and seemed to be pretty responsible. One day he just snapped on his siblings, his mother came home one day to find the body of her 4 year old but noticed that the 15 year old which is her biological child as well as the 10 year old were missing. So, obviously once the 4 year old’s body was discovered the mother called the police, they later found the 10 year old dead in the basement. Needless to say they found the 15 year old boy and arrested him with suspicion of homicide

Girl kills for cell phone!

A teenage female age 15 (name was not mentioned) was being punished by her father for whatever she has done and he took her phone away, instead of doing the normal which is cope until you receive it back she attacks her father with a  hunting bow. She maanged to shoot her father in his torso area, which wounded him pretty badly she would not let him place a call to the police she made him either crawl/drive to the neighbors where he managed to get the police to him in time she did get arrested

Erin Caffey

Erin Caffey only wanted to go out with her boyfriend James, and when her parents said no she went crazy literally she started to plot of killing her entire family, not just her parents. So Caffey got her boyfriend James and his friend Waid to help her out with this task.  Her mother was killed and her father looked as if he had been mauled by something. Her brothers Matthew and Tyler were also killed. Caffey shot Matthew in the head while James and Waid took turns stabbing Tyler. The trio then decided to set the house on fire.

Joshua Smith

Joshua Smith seemed like any other 14 year old male, who just wanted to fit in. He began hanging out with the local thugs and of course he wanted some “street cred” so once his mother got fed up of him hanging out at all hours of the night she gave him a curfew of 11. Needless to say he did not like this at all, so he ran away then came back home sulked in his room until about 3 am, he then proceeded to go downstairs where his mother was sleeping on the couch and shoot her several times. His mother once stated ” I only want the best for him, and for him to succeed.”

Columbine Massacre

As we all know or may remember the Columbine Massacre happened on April 20,1999 by two individuals Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. These two literally planned to kill at least 100 people that day! They planned on using guns, knives, and bombs as well. But the number that they wanted was not met by the end of the day since the shooting occurred at mid-day 12 students 1 teacher and the 2 murderers were dead.

Killer kids

Okay this is my first official post yay!! After taking Psych of Crime and having to read about killer kids especially when you get to go into such detail and depth with the readings. I started to read things that were not even assigned to us because it just became so interesting to try and get to see a glimpse of how they tended to think.
